Raid on PC vs mobile — same account, very different ceilings

PC vs Mobile
Same account, same roster, same drop rates. What changes is how much you can do in a day, and on a free account that's the only resource you actually have.
This page is for someone who's already decided to play and is choosing where. If you're still deciding whether to play at all, that argument is in the full review.
The short answer

Grind on PC, keep the phone for the five-minute jobs. You don't have to choose. One account works on both, and most people who play seriously end up doing exactly this.
If you're going to pick one, pick the Windows client, for one reason that outweighs the rest: the daily multi-battle cap doesn't exist there.

Why the multi-battle cap is the whole argument

Most of Raid's progression is farming the same campaign stage several hundred times. The game automates it: you set a run to repeat and walk away. Mobile limits how many of those repeats you can queue in a day. The Windows client doesn't.
That isn't a comfort feature. It's a hard ceiling on how fast a free account accumulates the silver, XP and gear it needs, and it's the difference between "free-to-play is slow" and "free-to-play is stuck". Everything else on that table is quality of life. This one is progression rate.
Second in line is heat. A phone running 3D combat for an hour throttles, and a throttled phone runs the same battles slower. A desktop doesn't have that problem, so hour two is as fast as hour one.
What mobile does better
The phone isn't pointless. It's where a lot of the game actually gets played.
Dailies in dead time. Arena refreshes, clan boss keys, quest claims and login rewards are five-minute jobs. Doing them in a queue or on a break is worth more than doing them well.
Not being at a desk. Obvious, and it's the reason the game was built mobile-first.
The right pattern is both: farm in bulk on the client, keep the phone for the chores. Because the account is shared, that costs you nothing.
Plarium Points, which nobody explains
The PC client has its own loyalty currency. You earn Plarium Points by playing through the launcher and spend them on in-game rewards. There's no mobile equivalent and no way to earn them on a phone.
It isn't transformative and I wouldn't install the client for it alone. But it's a reward stream that doesn't exist on the other platform, and over months it adds up.
Does the account really sync?
Yes. Progress is tied to your Plarium ID, not to hardware. Sign in on either and it's the same roster, the same vault, the same progress.
One real limit: it's one active session. Signing in on the PC signs the phone out. In practice that matters less than it sounds, because you aren't playing in two places at once. But if you were expecting to leave a farm running on the desktop while you do arena on the phone, you can't.
Is an emulator the same thing?
No, and it's worth being precise because the two get confused constantly. Plarium Play runs a desktop build of the game. An emulator runs the Android build inside a compatibility layer, which means it inherits the mobile caps you were trying to escape and adds input latency on top.
The full breakdown, including the two cases where an emulator really is the right answer, is in Plarium Play vs BlueStacks.
So which one
Install the Windows client. Keep the app on your phone for dailies. That's what the account sharing is for, and it's the setup that removes the ceiling without giving up the convenience.
If you're new and about to create the account, do one thing before anything else. The starter code has a 24-hour trap that costs people their champion. See which code to use and in what order.

Does my progress carry between PC and mobile?
Yes. Progress is tied to your Plarium ID, not to a device. You can farm on the PC client in the evening and do dailies on your phone at lunch, on the same account.
Can I be logged in on both at once?
No. It's one active session, so logging in on one signs the other out. That's a real limit, not a bug.
What is the multi-battle limit?
Mobile caps how many auto-repeat runs you can queue per day. The Windows client doesn't have that cap, which is the single largest difference between the two.
What are Plarium Points?
A loyalty currency earned only through the PC client, spendable on in-game rewards. There's no mobile equivalent.
Is mobile ever the better choice?
For dailies, arena refreshes and clan chores in five spare minutes, yes. Most players end up using both rather than picking one.
